Our march forward continues, all the challenges and opportunities are a part of the daily fabric in February, particularly at Snowbird.  There are many great results, highlights and happenings noted below, so I will be brief.

Goals are being realized in many cases, and so are disappointments.  I am reminded of the fact that both are part of the journey, and that youcan’t have one without the other.  I am going to offer some advice; Embrace both.  Don’t have a singular outcome in mind, but rather a possibility and a goal, and a growth mindset.  In both skiing and life the small failures help us learn so that we can avoid making the same mistakes, and are a tool to avoid larger failures and set us up for long-term success.  The path is difficult, and the journey is the true prize.  Nobody has the patent on success, but we all have a chance, an opportunity to reach our goals.  And in the process gain a greater understanding of what really matters.

The season goes quick, grab the moment!

I want to mention that we are through about two-thirds of our hosted races and events.  The improved race venue has been awesome!  Our events have a reputation of being very good, and really fun.  This is because of the community of staff & volunteers teaming up with support from Snowbird Ops, sponsors, & donors to make these events happen.  The athletes and parents bring the fun and great skiing!  I am always humbled to be a part of it.  Thank you.

Also, any alpine athletes wishing to transfer to Freeride, or vice versa, should join the waitlist to get a tryout slot.
If you have questions, please ask! If you are a current team member, and continuing on the track you currently are on, there is no need to join the waitlist, your spot will be reserved during registration week.
