Alpine August Update
Summer Training & Strength and Conditioning Updates
The U16 and FIS groups wrapped up a successful summer block focused on core competencies, strength under fatigue, and hypertrophy. We are now transitioning into a power-focused phase to leverage this strength foundation.
Alpine athletes manage physical forces up to five times their body weight. A robust strength and conditioning program is vital for injury prevention and on-snow technical skills, allowing athletes to maintain peak form through changing terrain, snow conditions, and temperatures. Keep up the great gym turnout!
The U12 and U14 groups capped off a fantastic summer conquering peaks across the Wasatch Range. We wrap up our Peak Series this week with a 10-mile trek to Red Pine Lake and the Pfeifferhorn before taking a brief break prior to fall dryland.
