2026-2027 Jfast South Series Program Options & Tuition:

• Full-Time U12 Team: $5500 (up to 5 days/week)
• Part-Time U12: $4750 (up to 3 days/week)
• Full-Time U10: $5000 (up to 4 days/week)
• Two-Day U12 & U10 Team: $4250

* Must select day(s) of the week/weekend during registration

New IMD Rules:

• First-year U10s may only race in YSL
• Second-year U10s and U12s must declare a series: South Series or YSL.

Additional Expenses & Explanations:

Pass: Snowbird Seasons Pass w/Tram, team member discounts available in November, $360 12 and under, $489 13 and over for 2025-26 Season

• UOP training days are Tuesday (U12 only) and Thursday. UOP pass not included with program tuition, $620 for 2026-27

USS&S Membership: Alpine Competitor's License $143 *price subject to change

Race Fees: $31 per start + lift pass at host resort *price subject to change

Estimated Travel Costs: depends on the trip, location, etc

Performance-focused ski boot

Ski boots continue to be the most important piece of equipment, and also the most difficult to fit for younger athletes.  Buying ski boots that are too big causes performance and safety issues that cannot be solved with a thicker pair of ski socks.  Please have a coach double-check that the size, flex, and cuff length is appropriate for your child.

Skis

• GS Ski - A GS Specific ski and should be about 5-10 CM taller than the athlete

If you have an old pair of GS skis, they are excellent to use early season before the conditions are safe to use the new race skis. 

• SL Ski - A SL specific ski should fit between the mouth and the nose bridge of the athlete.
• All Mountain Powder ski - These skis should roughly be about the same size as the athletes GS skis.

Protection

• Hard eared helmet

No helmets that have soft unprotected ears are allowed at our races.

*New this year - No camera (gopro) mounts will be allowed on racing helmets.

• SL protection
• Chin bar (required)
• Shin guards, SL poles + guards

If you are new to JFAST this year we will race tall SL poles. Your athlete may not need this protection immediately, but by the time they move to the next age class they will be blocking gates and need this protection.

Speed suit

If you don't already have one, these can be found pretty easily second-hand.

Goggles X2

• An extra pair of goggles should live in athletes pack as a backup
• Having a pair of clear lens goggles is a good idea for early mornings and UOP nights. Skiing in the dark with dark lenses is a safety concern.

Warm Clothes

Your athlete needs to be prepared to ski all day in every condition. We take very little warm-up breaks as it is expected that athletes dress appropriately for LCC weather. Extra goggles, Buffs, and gloves are encouraged.
