Bridger Call, Executive Director
Bridger grew up skiing in the Wasatch and raced as a member of SBSEF, including being named the SBSEF Skier of the Year in 1997. Bridger returned to SBSEF as a coach from 2004-2007, primarily as the Head J3 Coach.
From 2007 - 2017 Bridger was the Alpine Program Director and Head Coach for the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club. During those years he served on the IMD and Western Region ACC, the Intermountain Division Board of Directors, as well as numerous committees throughout. In addition to being a part of the governance of skiing in the Western United States, Bridger is a level 300 coach and level 4 Chief of Race, Chief of Course, and Referee, and has hosted hundreds of days of racing from entry-level up to Nor-Am Cups.
Bridger holds a Master's degree in Planning from the Architecture Department of the University Of Utah. Bridger and his wife Elisha have two children who are on the Devo team.
Scott Martin - President
Scott has been a part of the Snowbird Ski Team in varying capacities nearly all his life. Scott was an athlete with the Team from age 7 up to college, then served as a coach through graduate school and beyond, then as a Board member, and now as a parent of three children who enjoy the benefits of the Team. Scott's family has been a part of the Snowbird community since its opening in the early 1970s. Scott's father, Pepper, was the first Board chair. As such, the SBSEF mission and community has been a constant in Scott's life, and he looks forward to serving on the Board as a means to propel the organization successfully forward.
Scott is an attorney with the Salt Lake City office of Snow Christensen & Martineau. His practice focuses largely on water and real property issues, including watershed protection in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
Pascale Wiedenroth - Vice President
A native German, Pascale moved to Cottonwood Heights with her family initially "just for the ski season." Soon thereafter, her family enrolled for the entire school year to give their five children the opportunity to alpine ski race with Snowbird. Her husband, Erich, who grew up in New England, is also a ski racer and can be regularly found on the hill with his kids. Pascale's family enjoys the winters in Utah and loves the outdoors in the spring and fall. Pascale is looking forward to supporting SBSEF - an organization that has become so meaningful to her family.
Pascale graduated with an MBA-equivalent degree from Mannheim University in Germany and completed post-graduate coursework in journalism. Early in her career, she worked as a journalist in Germany for Focus Magazine, a weekly news publication, and thereafter held a role as Head of Press Department for Thyssen AG in Dusseldorf. After moving to the US with her husband in 1999, she worked in public relations with Thompson Financial. After her first children, she founded her own executive coaching and recruiting firm to work independently.
Ellen Tolstad - Secretary
Ellen learned to ski in the very chilly climate of Michigan’s upper peninsula. She started skiing at Snowbird in 1981 after moving to Salt Lake to attend the University of Utah, graduating with degrees in Math and Physics. She and her spouse Roy have shepherded their children Andrew, Audrey, and Grace through the SBSEF alpine race program. Two continued to race in college through USCSA, and all have inherited a love for skiing and outdoor activities.
Professionally, Ellen has worked as a software developer and enjoys camping, hiking, making cosplay costumes, road and mountain biking. She enjoys giving back to this wonderful organization through service on the board.
Erika Creech - Treasure
Erika grew up in Utah and learned to love skiing at the age of 2. She spent countless days in her youth learning to ski at Snowbird and was a member of the Alpine Race Team from 1988 to 1993. She also met her husband, Jason, at Snowbird and it was a match made to be from the beginning. Their daughter Ellie, is a member of SBSEF and is looking forward to her second year as a U14 on the alpine race team.
Erika graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Sports Science and went on to work on her Masters in the Biomechanics of Human Movement.
Jeff Mikell
Jeff grew up in Burlington Vermont within a multi-generational family of avid alpine ski racers. Jeff was a ski racer at Stowe’s Mount Mansfield Ski Club and competed in college as a member of the University of Vermont Ski team. After college Jeff moved west to Colorado where he worked for the Steamboat Ski Cooperation as both a Professional Ski Instructor and also on the special events staff hosting World Cup Alpine and Freestyle events. Jeff currently works as a Sr. Project Manager at W.W. Clyde & Co. where he is involved in the construction of large Design-Build transportation and civil construction projects. Jeff’s wife, Christine, is a Principal of Enyo Renewable Energy where she develops large commercial Wind and Solar projects.
Jeff and Christine have 3 children all under the age of 17 who are all enthusiastic members of the SBSEF. Jeff understands the benefits and important roles that fun, discipline, and the life lessons that the SBSEF bring to our youth and looks forward to fostering and passing down that great learning environment to the next generation.
Matt Wigdahl
Matt Wigdahl is a former ski racer and coach, having raced for 14 years and coached for another 14 years all within the SBSEF organization. For the majority of his coaching years, he worked as the head development (Devo) team coach and served 10 years on the Youth Ski League (YSL) committee. Matt is President and majority owner of Lever Pulley, a web development company, and has been in the technology industry since 2003. Recently his company has designed and launched a new software product, Ski Club Pro (http://skiclubpro.com), designed specifically for winter sports organizations. Matt is married to Jane and has two children, Chloe and Heidi. Our hope is both our daughters will develop the same love for skiing as their parents and will participate in SBSEF.
Jimmy Chen
Jimmy Chen has been affiliated with Snowbird Sports Education Foundation since 1996, started out as an athletes’ parent, invited to join the Board of Directors in 2005, and served as Treasurer between 2007 and 2014. Jimmy also served on the Board for UOCA as VP of Community Engagement, Chinese Society of Utah as Advisor, IEEE Utah Section as Computer Society Chair and Treasurer, and Taiwan Overseas Community Affairs Council as Utah Advisor. In addition, he has served as a judge/caucus-judge for Deseret News Sterling Scholar, Salt Lake Valley Science and Engineering Fair, Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, and College Board AP Computer Science. Jimmy received awards from National Science Foundation and was inducted into the International Society of Photographers Hall of Fame in 2007.
Jimmy received his doctorate from the University of Utah. He is a tenured Professor at Salt Lake Community College in Computer Science and Information Systems, where he served as Department head between 2000 and 2006. Jimmy is married to Ling-Ling, who served as the Chinese Society of Utah President between 2011 and 2015. They raise two children, Michael and Marcus. Both have been actively involved in academics, music, ski racing, and ski coaching. Michael earned his MD in 2016 and is a board-certified family physician. He joined the University of Utah Health as an attending physician and adjunct faculty. And, Marcus earned his MD in 2019 and is doing his residency in Anesthesiology with the University of Utah Hospital.
Kelli Fratto Bland
A native of Utah, Kelli started skiing at age nine. However, having two parents who did not ski, she did not spend too much time on the snow. It wasn’t until she met her husband, Peter, that she truly began to enjoy the sport. Kelli and Peter’s two sons, Charlie and Ry Ry are both members of the alpine team for SBSEF.
Kelli received her degree in Mass Communication from the University of Utah. Kelli currently works as a freelance public relations specialist here in Salt Lake City and is also a contracted employee for Love Communications, where she worked full time for 16 years. In her free time, Kelli enjoys traveling and spending time in the outdoors with family, and she is honored to be a member of the SBSEF Board.
Joe Sepulveda
Joe grew up skiing in the Wasatch, enjoying racing and freeskiing with the Snowbird Ski Team during the late 80's. Joe also coached with the SBSEF Devo program from 1993-1997. He is a graduate from the University of Utah. He is married, and they have three children who are all out of the house, enjoying the great outdoors.
Joe is President and Partner with Drive Marketing, Drive Fulfillment, and passion brand DNA CYCLING. During the winters you can catch Joe in the backcountry and in the summers on his bike.
Andy Yorkin
Andy is an avid outdoorsman and learned to carve an edge on the firm ski slopes of New England. Upon graduating from college, he moved to Utah to enjoy slightly softer snow conditions. Andy met his wife Sheila on the slopes of Alta and together they have effectively brainwashed their three children into becoming Altaholics. When the snow is gone, you can find Andy searching for trout in the many Utah streams and rivers as well as mountain biking and rock climbing in the nearby Wasatch Mountains. All 3 of Sheila and Andy’s children have or are currently competing on the SBSEF Freeride team.
Andy serves as President of BrandHive, a marketing and communications agency dedicated to the healthy lifestyle consumer. He earned his MBA from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, and a BS in Marketing from the University of Connecticut.
Ben Johnson
Born and raised in the Wasatch, Ben has spent most of his skiing life in Little Cottonwood Canyon besides a twelve-year stint in Jackson, WY, where he owned and operated his family business. His wife (Sarajane) and three children now make SLC home, where they all can be found spending their winter days at Alta and Snowbird. His oldest daughter (Madeline) is part of the SBSEF Freeride Team and Ben thrives from his daughter's participation in freeride as it’s what he wished he had available as a young skier.
Ben graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a BS degree in Business Administration, an individual collegiate national championship in swimming, and is now VP of Sales at HotWax Systems, a global open-source software firm headquartered in SLC.
Hunter Moseley
Hunter grew up skiing in the Wasatch and raced as a member of SBSEF for six years. In 2018 he began coaching for SBSEF and has since fulfilled roles at the Devo, J-Fast, and Freeride levels. Hunter comes from a multi-generational family of passionate alpine ski racers. His Father, Mica, served as Head of the Devo program for many years and instilled in Hunter a deep love for the mountains.
Hunter graduated from the University of Utah in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. While at school, Hunter was a member of the Dean’s List. He also was a member of the “Utah Freeskier Society”, and was elected to serve on the board of the “Mighty Utah Student Section”. Throughout his undergrad, Hunter spent just a short of four years working for KPMG. As an account manager, Hunter consulted with business owners on how to improve the bottom line of their business. Upon graduating, Hunter started working as a Fund Accountant at Cornerstone Fund Services. While at Cornerstone he provided outsourced CFO services to Venture Capital Funds. Hunter began his current role, working for The Cynosure Group as a Fund Accountant in 2021.
Hunter is currently enrolled in the Professional MBA program at the University of Utah. He looks forward to giving back to the program that helped shape him into the person he is today.
Dasha Kadulova
A native of the former Czechoslovakia, Dasha escaped with her mother and sister, eventually emigrating to Utah in 1987 where she learned to ski. As a competitor, she raced for the Czech Republic at the Europa Cup level until injured, then continued to feed her passion for competition as a masters racer. Training with the Snowbird FIS team helped her become a masters overall world champion in 2009 and a masters Olympic medalist in 2010. Dasha encouraged the next generation of Snowbird skiers as an assistant J-Fast coach. Currently, Dasha works for the USANA Corporation as Vice President of Data Security.
Adam Comey
A dad of three SBSEF athletes (Maddox and Hayden (2007 U16) and Norah 9 (2012 U10 JFast), Adam brings a passion for skiing as a family sport that binds young to old. Adam fell in love with skiing at an early age on the icy slopes of the southern Vermont mountains in junior programs progressing on high school at Green Mountain Valley School in Waitsfield, Vt (1984-88) and two years racing D1 at Castleton State College (89-90) before moving west to complete his BA and a quest for softer snow.
Adam is the co-founder and CEO (‘96-present) of Dragonfli Media Technologies d/b/a of Mountain Sports International (MSI) and MSI Live Productions a sports marketing, brand creative, and television production firm based in Salt Lake City. In addition to Adam's ski racing background, he has a long history in the Freeride movement first as an athlete and subsequently as founding treasurer of the IFSA, Co-founder of Freeskiing World Tour (FWT) in 1996, The Snowbird US Freeskiing Nationals (1998-2014), Jr Freeride Tour (JFT), The North Face Masters (2009-2012) and many years of skiercross and slopestyle events at Snowbird including Red Bull Freeride and Huckest events (1999-2002).
Emily Loeffler
As SVP, General Counsel and Human Resources for POWDR, Emily Loeffler oversees all legal and risk matters for the company and its operating entities, as well as POWDR’s human resource operations.
Emily came to POWDR in 2015 from Ray Quinney & Nebeker where she was a Shareholder in their litigation practice. Before joining Ray Quinney & Nebeker, Emily worked with Snell & Wilmer as an associate from 2004 to 2009.
Emily holds a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law and a B.A. in English from Stanford University, where she also was an All-American swimmer on two national championship and two runner-up teams. She enjoys skiing, running, golfing, as well as spending time with her two children who are themselves aspiring rippers.
