Greetings SBSEF Community,

As another ski season winds down, it is time to celebrate the many achievements of our athletes and reflect on an incredible year of growth, dedication, and success.

This season would not have been possible without the support of our resort partners, Snowbird and Alta, our generous sponsors and donors, and the many volunteers who showed up to support our athletes every step of the way.  Our dedicated staff who work with the athletes through thick and thin, and in all conditions.  And most importantly, to our athletes and families—the very foundation of this program—congratulations on an incredible season, and for making all of this possible.

Goldberg 1st

This April, we hosted the 87th Annual Snow Cup, a Snowbird tradition dating back decades.  The races were great despite the challenging spring melt we experienced.  This year was particularly special because SBSEF Alumni Jared Goldberg – World Cup veteran of 14 years, 2 Olympics, and 5  World Championships – raced his final races.  Finishing his career right here where it started.  It was awesome.  Congrats on a great career Jared!

Thank You.

Dream Big.  Work Hard.

Community Column:

Our team families remained busy, all the way to the end of our season.  Parents provided delicious meals at IMD Finals and Tacos at Snow Cup!  All were crowd pleasers.  On behalf of the staff, volunteers, and coaches, we thank all of you for your hard work at team social events at the bottom of a race hill or Freeride competitions throughout the season!

Lost and Found:  Are you missing a lunch box? Jacket? Entire boot bag or backpack?  If so, please check out the Lost and Found bin, which has been relocated to our team office at 3690 E Fort Union.  The doors are unlocked between 9am and 5pm on weekdays.  Enter West-facing doors, walk to the end of the hall, and turn right.  You will see the very large bin in the hallway.  Anything not claimed by the end of May will be donated or sold at the swap.  Reach out to me with any questions!

We look forward to seeing you at our “Welcome Back” BBQ at Sugarhouse Park on September 3rd.

Thank YOU Sponsors

As we bring the season to a close, a HUGE shoutout to our annual and event sponsors from this season. We could not do it without you! You are the reason SBSEF picked up additional races at Snowbird when other mountains couldn’t, that our teams successfully trained in a year with a lack of snow, and had many competitive athletes in races, competitions and on podiums! Thank you again! We are so grateful for your support.

Want to join this incredible group of sponsors for the next season? Please reach out to SBSEF at development@sbsef.com.
