January 2026 Team Update

Greetings SBSEF,

For almost my entire life Little Cottonwood Canyon has been a special place, and an essential component of daily life.  It can be amazing and awe-inspiring, and most of the time that is how I would describe it.  It can also be extremely challenging and humbling.  In either case, it never ceases to amaze me.  This winter has been unlike any other that I remember.

In 2023 we saw the most snow ever recorded.  In 2026 we are now faced with the possibility of the opposite.  Still, the skiing in LCC is better than almost anywhere else right now, and with the support of our mountains we have been getting great training, and hosted a fantastic 4 day race series.  It takes more than a little strange weather to keep us down!

There is still a long way to go before the stories of this winter are done being written.  Make your story one of challenges accepted and goals realized.
