Greetings SBSEF,

And just like that the school year has arrived. For those at the Winter School classes continue, and for those on a traditional school schedule, it has begun again. This means a return to routines and a ramping up of activity around the ski team. It is always fun to see everyone again, and hear about the summer adventures.

Fall sports and dryland offer the opportunity to improve our conditioning, with boosting performance and avoiding injury. At SBSEF we believe in the value of diverse athletes who participate in sports and activities outside of skiing, however ski-specific strength needs to be on the radar as well. If regular dryland attendance is not possible, the coaches can help you organize supplementary workouts with a focus on core strength, mobility, and ski strengthening emphasis. I can’t stress enough how beneficial this focus is!

The team BBQ is just a couple weeks away, followed by our Gear Swap, team meetings, camps, the Gala, and ultimately a new ski season. It always feels like we have time, then all of a sudden it’s go time. Check out your group-specific info below and of course, in Team Snap.

It is time to get your gear organized as well. With less predictability in certain industries and markets, I think it is wise to get ahead on this front. Take time to inventory your gear and get the things you need.

I look forward to another season with all of you, with our sponsors, supporters, and greater community.
