Welcome, and welcome back to all new and returning families. Summer is in full swing and I hope you all are enjoying some sunshine and hot weather. Coaches and admin are busy getting details dialed for the 2024 – 2025 season. For U16 and U19 athletes summer conditioning is Well underway. The SBSEF new Gym is officially in use as well as the Gym at the Utah Olympic park. For a specific dryland schedule please check your TeamSnap or reach out to your head coach Brennan Rubbie (FIS) and Ali Spencer (U16) for specific details. These summer months offer a vital block of focused strength and conditioning that will help prepare athletes for on-snow success as well as injury prevention as we move into the fall. Make sure you are taking advantage of this time in the gym. It is also not too early to be thinking about new equipment.  Orders have been placed in Europe for the season and will start making their way to North America. Every year there are some brands/sizes in limited supply. Getting ahead of the fall rush ensures you get exactly what you want. Make sure to reach out to your Head coaches as they have age-specific recommendations on the best equipment to get.

SBSEF would like to officially welcome Ali Spencer to SBSEF coaching staff. Ali will be heading up the U16 alpine program. She enjoys all things outdoors and is passionate about mountain biking, hiking, and running.

U12, U14, and U16 athletes headed to Mt Hood at the end of June. The weather and piste were excellent for the first 4 days of GS-focused skiing. The second half of the camp was an SL-focused athletes had to contend with June weather and lost two days to rain. Athletes had an excellent opportunity to dial in new equipment and get some miles on their skis. The U16 and U19 groups headed back to Mount Hood after the fourth of July for eight days on snow.
