It was another great season for the snowboard team. Our athletes had some great progression, traveled the entire world and saw some big success in their riding.

And while the season is ending for most of our crew, many of the Para athletes continue to be focussed on the upcoming Paralympics next March with several of our athletes hoping for spots on the US Para Team. Many of them will be attending camps this Spring and Summer, trying to keep their skills fresh going into next season.

Big Mountain Snowboard Team Update

We just wrapped up Junior finals at Kirkwood! Kaito ended up taking second place in u15’s which bumped him up to second overall for the season as well. Gage placed 3rd in qualifiers and 6th in finals for the overall in u19’s. Gage also acquired his AASI level 1 last week and is looking to get into instructing and coaching next season as he graduates from juniors this year. It’s been an exciting year for the big mountain snowboard team. Next season, Gage moves on to bigger and better things, Kaito ages up to the u19 division, and we hopefully grow our program to 4-6 actively competing snowboarders. Big things coming in the future!

We are doing some mild reformatting with some of our program offerings and will be rolling out those changes this spring so watch for that. And also keep an eye out for upcoming camp opportunities through the summer – hopefully one at Mt. Hood in June and then in South America in August.
