Brennan Rubie
Head FIS Coach
Brennan grew up in Salt Lake City where he started his ski career in SBSEF’s Devo program. Surrounded by passionate coaches and competitive young skiers, SBSEF helped to foster not just an ability to race, but a love for skiing. In 2010, he qualified for the U.S. Ski Team.
During his seven years on the national team, he saw early success on at the Nor-Am level, eventually competing on the World Cup for five years. He was named to two World Championship Teams and won the National Super-Combined Championship in 2015. In 2017, after recovering from a broken leg and torn ACL, he retired from the team. While completing his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Utah, Rubie returned to the SBSEF program as a part-time coach for the U16 age group.
After graduating and for the past two years, Rubie has worked as the assistant coach for the National Paralympic Alpine Team, seeing them through the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games. Now, he’s excited to bring his experience back home to Snowbird as the head FIS Coach for SBSEF— a program he knows firsthand can foster a lifelong passion for skiing.
