Griffin Rasmussen

AltaBird Freeride National Team Coach

My name is Griffin N. Rasmussen, I am 24 years of age, born in Tucson, Arizona, raised in Little Cottonwood canyon. I learned to ski at Snowbird and Alta at the age of 2. I picked up snowboarding, which led me to my Slopestyle skiing competition career. I competed in Slopestyle on the Grand Prix circuit for 3 consecutive years, as well as many other open events since 2010. I competed in IFSA junior events, and continue to ski big mountain competitively.

I lived 3 summers in Zion National Park as a rock climbing and canyoneering guide. I am currently guiding rafting trips through Grand Canyon National park, on the Colorado River. Some of my hobbies include playing the guitar, and didgeridoo, fishing, crochet, beach volleyball, and surfing.

I have never been in a helicopter, I hope that the first time I hop in one, it drops me off on top of a mountain, with nothing but steep snow-covered spines below!
