Jason grew up at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon, which meant skiing was big part of his life. He learned to ski on Chickadee and spent years exploring Alta and Snowbird with his friends.

He’s been teaching and coaching skiing for more than 30 years, and since 2015 he’s been helping young athletes grow with the Snowbird Ski Education Foundation. Jason is a certified USSA Level 200 Coach and also holds PSIA Level 1 and ACE Level 1 certifications.

What Coach Jason loves most is seeing kids push themselves, try new hard things, and ski runs they never thought they could. He also loves watching athletes develop a passion for skiing and ski racing. Watching the big smiles and excitement after conquering a tough run is his absolute favorite part of coaching!

When he’s not skiing, Jason is usually off on an adventure with his wife and kids—camping, hiking, and exploring the outdoors together.
