Heather Jochl

FIS Coach

Originally from Sugar Mountain, NC, it was there that Heather started skiing at a very young age because of her Austrian father and American mother’s love for the sport.  Spending much of her youth skiing, training, and competing, she established a love for alpine ski racing, bringing her West to Colorado.  Dubbing the Vail Valley home, Heather spent close to twenty years working for Vail and Beaver Creek in the race department, ski school, and as a coach for Ski & Snowboard Club Vail.  During her time at SSCV and the race department, she realized her passion for coaching and being an official.  In 2018, she decided to move to Austria full-time and work with Austria Racing Camps to give her experience in Europe and a different perspective.  During her time coaching with ARC, she helped develop and assist in running the FIS program.  Now back state-side, she is excited to be part of the SBSEF community and is looking forward to bringing her love of the sport to future generations.
