Fritz Wood

Head Coach - U16

Fritz grew up skiing/racing for the Snowbird ski team and is a former Skier of the Year.  He competed at the collegiate level skiing for the University of Nevada, Reno, and was a member of their 1993 National Championship team.  From there, Fritz moved to Bozeman, MT where he graduated from Montana State University with a BA in Earth Sciences.  

Fritz began his coaching career at Big Sky, MT in 1995 and in 2000 he became the Alpine Program Director and Head Coach for the Bridger Ski Foundation at Bridger Bowl, MT.  Fritz moved back home to Snowbird in 2008 and has been the Head Coach of the U16 alpine team since then.  Fritz is a level 300 USSS certified coach and holds level 4 certifications in Chief of Race, Referee, and Chief of Course.  Additionally, he has coached countless Western Region camps as well as a number of National projects.  

When not coaching/skiing Fritz enjoys hiking, backpacking, and exploring the deserts of southern Utah and mountains anywhere.
